Choosing Your Castle Size
Before selecting your Jumping Castle you need to consider the amount of room available at your planned site. There can be a lot of difference in the size between our castles so please check the size of the castle you intend to hire and determine if you have sufficient grass available to place the castle.
Our Mini Jumping Castles is:
- 2.5 x 2.5 metre square
- 3.6 meters high
- supplied with a fitted rain/sun cover
- recommended for children up to 4 years of age
- requires a minimum of 3.5 x 3.5 metres of grass
Our Pirates of the Caribbean Jumping Castle is:
- 4 x 4 metres
- approximately 4 meters high
- supplied with a fitted rain/sun cover
- recommended for children up to 14 years of age
- requires a minimum of 5 x 5 metres of grass
Our Sports Interactive Jumping Castle is:
- 6 x 7 metres
- approximately 4 meters high
- supplied with a fitted rain/sun cover
- recommended for children and adults
- requires a minimum of 7 x 8 metres of grass
Our SpongeBob Squarepants Jumping Castle is:
- 5.5 x 6 metres
- approximately 5 meters high
- supplied with a fitted rain/sun cover
- recommended for children up to 14 years of age
- requires a minimum of 7 x 7 metres of grass

Requirements
To ensure a successful hire you will be asked to provide Jumpin’ Around with:
- A grassed area large enough to accommodate your selected castle.
Grass is the preferred base for all of our jumping castles. Jumping Castles can
be erected on hard surfaces (asphalt/cement/concrete/timber floors) but
advance notice is required and an additional surcharge will apply to cover
extra padding, anchors and increased setup times. Please advise Jumpin’
Around staff if your require your castle to be setup on a hard surface.
- Vehicle and/or trolley access to the site.
Please advise Jumpin’ Around if you have limited access or stairs when
booking your Castle.
- Access to a power outlet.
If you don’t have access to power, Jumpin’ Around can supply a generator for
a small additional fee.
- Suitable lighting for overnight hires.
If you require lighting for your overnight hire, Jumpin’ Around can supply
these at a small additional charge.
Safe distances
Jumpin’ Around staff will ensure the correct safety distance when erecting the castle. By this we mean that the castle must maintain a safe distance from trees, buildings and fences. Insufficient clearances can result in damage to the castle. Likewise cigarettes, fireworks and sharp edges, such as bicycle pedals, glass etc. must be kept at a safe distance.
Set up & Removal times
It takes about 15 minutes to put up the castle and about 25 minutes to take it down. Once the castle has been installed, inflation time is around 90 seconds for medium castles and around 2 minutes for large castles.
Payment
Payment can made at the time of delivery by cash, bank cheque or money order. Direct Debits can also be made with details exchanged once a reservation has been confirmed. A deposit of 20 %is asked for to secure your castle hire. Personal cheques are accepted, but must be presented at least a minimum of 10 days prior to the booking date. Monies can be refunded on cancellation providing that your cheque has cleared. There are generally no cancellation fees, except in the event that a generator has been required and notice of cancellation is received less than 24 hours prior to the castle booking. In this situation, the hire of the generator can be levied against the hirer.
After hours services incur a surcharge. i.e.; a request to pick up late in the evening will incur an additional minimum hourly rate, e.g.; require collecting of a castle from a function centre late in the evening where it is not possible to leave the equipment for next day collection.
Requests to extend castles past 6:00pm (or 7:00pm daylight savings) will usually default to overnight hire. That is, you get to keep the castle until the following day for a small additional charge. Overnight pickups are normally made between 10:00am - 2:00pm the following day unless the equipment is required elsewhere, in which case you can expect a Jumpin’ Around staff member anytime from 7:00am. Jumpin’ Around will advise an expected pickup time when they drop off the castle.
Supervision is available at the hourly rate of $40 per supervisor, regardless of the size of the castle. Worksafe Victoria advise that a castle should be supervised by the company delivering the castle if it is in either a public area and/or provided for a corporate function.
Another Worksafe Victoria stipulation is that in circumstances where there is a choice between locating the castle on a paved or an unpaved area, the castle must be located on the unpaved area. If you only have a paved area, there will be an additional surcharge of $20 to offset the extra time required for set up and extra padding to protect the equipment.
Jumpin’ Around supports the local community. Discounts are available for community and charity organisations.
Delivery & Pick up Details
All day castle hires within the local area are available in eight (8) hour blocks that span the following delivery and pick up times:
9:00am - 5:00pm
10:00am - 6:00pm
11:00am - 7:00pm (Daylight saving only)
A surcharge will apply if an extension of the hire period is requested, providing it does not extend past 6:00pm (or 7:00pm daylight saving time.) E.g. you can extend the cut off for a day hire from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Overnight rates are available.
Half day hires of 4 hour duration are available from 09:00am and terminating at 6:00pm. A typical 4 hour hire period is anywhere from 09:00am to 6:00pm, this means that the hire time must be after 09:00am and pick up not later than 6:00pm.
Deliveries made to outside the local area may incur additional charges and/or minimum duration of hire, ie, the formula for calculating a minimum castle hire at Inverloch would be the standard castle hire rates plus travelling time from base to the destination and return.
When booking for an event and you would like the castle set up and ready to use prior to your guests arriving, the hire time may need to begin before your event start time. Please keep this in mind when making your booking. eg. If you party is from 12 -4 and your guests are arrving at 12 and you would like to have the castle ready to use on arrival you may need to begin the hire time at 11:30 or 11:45.
Insurance
Yes we are fully insured!
We never hope to make a claim, but in the unfortunate event that an accident occurs, Jumpin' Around Jumping Castles carries Public Liability of 10 Million dollars. We can supply a copy of the cover prior to your hire starting upon request.
Safety rules are in place to protect the children inside & around the Jumping Castle. That’s why it’s extremely important & essential that all rules are followed. You will be fully briefed on the safety rules on the day of your hire. Once instructed, the children’s safety depends upon you. Your personal Supervision as an adult is absolutely required as the safety of ALL the children is your responsibility.
We strive to keep our events fun but most important safe!
Rain and Weather Policy
Our rain and weather policy will put your mind at ease knowing that you are not paying for a Jumping Castle you cannot use.
We will call you on the morning of the hire, if the weather looks suspect we will give you the option of cancelling or going ahead with your hire.
If you decide to go ahead and your party gets washed out all you need to do is evacuate the Jumping Castle immediately, bring all electrical equipment out of the rain after turning off power at blower then the wall. Then give us a call and tell us to come and collect the Jumping Castle. You will get a refund from the time that we arrive to the end of your hire time (at $25 per hour – must be a full hour to be eligible for refund eg. 1.5hrs = $25, 2hr = $50 etc).
If you choose to cancel due to weather you will not lose your deposit, it will be transferred to another booking/day with no expiry date. If electrical equipment has been left in the rain you will be charged for repair or replacement of equipment.
